How the Timing match score works
The percentage is a playful Sun sign snapshot, designed to give you a quick starting point for exploring a connection. It is not a prediction or a measure of relationship quality.
Three parts of the score
| Part | Maximum points | What it looks at |
|---|---|---|
| Starting score | 55 | A shared baseline for every pair |
| Elements | 12 | Same element adds 12; complementary Fire and Air or Earth and Water adds 6; other combinations add 0 |
| Modes | 5 | Matching modes add 5; modes one step apart add 2; modes two steps apart add 0 |
| Aspects | 40 | Trine 40, sextile 25, opposition 12, semisextile 4, same sign 5, square or quincunx 0 |
The points are added with a small repeatable sign position adjustment, then capped at 98%. Trines between signs of the same element score above 90. Squares and quincunxes with different, non complementary elements score from 55% to 65%. Same sign pairs score between 75% and 88%, depending on their shared element and mode. Every score stays between 55% and 98%.
This is a light reference based only on Sun signs. A fuller comparison includes the Moon, Venus, rising sign, and your Five Elements Day Master, which depends on exact birth information. For the most complete view, enter both birthdays in the Timing app.
